The many natural parks are something that draws many visitors to the area every year.  From many of the coastal towns you can access a number of the parks and there are tour operators that will take you through them.  Whether you plan to travel on foot, in a 4WD vehicle or on horseback you are going to be treated to incredible views and experience nature up close.  The tour operators can show you exactly where to find the animals that are indigenous to the area and point out incredible natural rock formations and waterfalls.

Whale watching is another reason why many people come here.  Choosing to stay in a place like Coffs Harbour will provide you with an excellent stepping off point to see these beautiful marine mammals.  Going to a place like the Solitary Islands Marine Park will ensure that you get to see them and other marine life the same time.  You can either go diving here or go out on a boat.

Beaches are found here in abundance, and one of the best things about the beaches in the area is that they are usually not crowded.  You can find a spot on a white sandy beach that is absolutely pristine and you will usually be able to find a spot all to yourself.  Many of them such as the beaches in Nambucca Heads also offer great surfing opportunities.

You can travel down the Pacific Highway and experience a number of the different towns that each have something unique to offer.  Some of the ones that are particularly nice for a day trip include Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Grafton, Ballina and Coffs Harbour, which is the largest commercial and tourist center on the North Coast.

There are events that run all year round, and are located in the different towns along the coast.  Some that you might want to plan your holiday around include the Coffs Food and Wine Festival, the Jacaranda Festival in Grafton, the Ballina Riverfest or the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Byron Bay.  If you prefer events that offer a lot of activity, the Manning River Summer Festival and the Trial Bay Triathlon are both excellent choices.

If you're considering a visit to Northern New South Wales, then also consider staying at Paradise Palms Resort; offering Coffs Harbour accommodation for all holiday types it surely is great value for money.
